An Important Update re Covid-19
The Adelaide Chocolate School is carefully monitoring the Covid-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) situation on an ongoing basis.
We are taking all advice from the World Health Organization and the Australian Government’s Department of Health. The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) is the key decision making committee for health emergencies in Australia. This committee is comprised of all state and territory Chief Health Officers and is chaired by the Australian Chief Medical Officer.
Current preventative measures listed on the Australian Government Department of Health site are as follows:
Everyone should practise good hygiene to protect against infections. Good hygiene includes:
- washing your hands often with soap and water
- using a tissue and covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze
- avoiding close contact with others, such as touching
- testing anyone who shows symptoms of the virus
- monitoring close contacts of confirmed cases every day
Hand sanitiser is available at reception and there is soap and water available for handwashing in all bathrooms and at our dedicated hand wash station.
There is currently no advice in South Australia to avoid public places or to cancel events involving less than 500 people, therefore all classes and private party bookings will be going ahead as scheduled.
However we wish to advise everyone booked into a public class or private party at the Adelaide Chocolate School that if you feel unwell or have any symptoms of a cold or flu please contact us on admin.acs@bigpond.com and we will reschedule your session to a later date without a cancellation fee. (Please note that cancelation fees will only be incurred if you are a no-show on the day without any prior communication with our office).
Should this position change we will advise you as quickly as possible.
